“A Belgian Tradition”

In the 19th century, a French aristocratic the Count de Praslin created a mixture made of hazelnuts to fill his cakes and pastry. The Count gave his own name to this tasty filling. .

Later the Belgian chocolate masters started to use the praline filling. They improved the recipe and coated it with chocolate. It became very famous. The praline was born! The belgian chocolate masters have also developed many other kinds of fillings made of cream, butter and other kinds of nuts,..... All of these delicious small chocolates still keep this popular name : The Pralines

Belgian chocolate pralines are famous all over the world. This tradition remains very strong in Belgium and leads to a national contest among all the best chocolate masters. The winner of the contest gets the honour to have the King of Belgium as his first client.
